Hi, I’m Claudia — a mum, Special Needs Education Assistant and lifelong lover of stories, creativity and childhood wonder. Working closely with children and families has inspired so much of what Toadstool Cottage Mail Club has become. I have always loved painting, creating and dreaming up whimsical little worlds inspired by nature, imagination and the quiet magic of childhood.
Toadstool Cottage Mail Club was inspired by my daughter and the simple magic of receiving real mail. After emigrating, she would receive letters and little parcels from family back home. Each delivery brought excitement, comfort and connection and watching her eagerly check the letterbox reminded me how special it feels to know someone is thinking of you. Inspired by cosy storybooks, nature walks with our dog and treasured childhood memories filled with imagination and adventure, each piece is thoughtfully created to bring warmth, wonder and a little woodland magic into everyday life.
Each Toadstool Cottage Mail Club collection begins with a little spark of inspiration and a story waiting to unfold. Every illustration begins with my own hand-drawn sketch and watercolour painting. I then use digital and AI-assisted tools to refine and transform my original artwork into the soft, storybook-style illustrations used throughout Toadstool Cottage Mail Club. Finally, letters, stories and paper treasures bring each woodland theme to life.
From the first brushstroke to the final parcel wrapped and prepared for post, every detail is thoughtfully created to bring warmth, imagination and a little woodland magic into your home.
